Which one

Obviously prices vairy but is it worth the extra money for say a BMC over a k&N or am i getting drawn to it because of looks.

Also what are the powertec ones like?

i'd say bmc, as they are enclosed and driving seems a lot smoother than an open cone

i need to drill my airbox more i think.

was close to clicking bmc but then the powertec one had the word free in it so you know....

but bmc is probably better i imagine.

Drilling holes in airbox is pointless IMO.

And that diaganal line under those holes, that bit can be removed with a big hammer and a big screwdriver.

It's under the pannel filter on the wing side. So yes it's ok.

It's just making sure that there is no restriction.

Has it's 'effectiveness' ever been proven on a RR? I doubt it. All I can see this doing is shortening the life of the panel filter, making the noise of the engine louder (not in a nice way either) and also letting in more warm air from the engine bay.

NO. Because your (everyone should be) drilling it on the wind side and NOT the engine side. Removing that lower pannel that is below that crumple bar thing (where the engine mount is. You know what i mean).
