Well, ive done it again and stuck to the trusty Vauxhalls,

the Astra died and i couldnt be arsed with it, so i flogged it.

I was going to go away from the Vauxhall scene, i looked at Volvo's, Saab's (both performance versions of course) and also looked at Subaru Legacy twin turbos and S14 200SX's.

But with not alot on the market, and me not wanting to take a gamble with a different make that i know nothing about, i decided to stick to Vauxhall after being persuaded by a mate to buy this Calibra DTM Turbo. i will get some better pics up tomorrow when its had a proper clean.

nice

Do you have any plans for it or is it a stop gap for the time being?

plans are a good service as its coming up due, sort out the normal rocker cover leak.

then i will start thinking about i few other things.

Gunmetal or black the wheels and Vauxhall mudflaps will probably be the first bits to do.

Then may think about Phase 1 or 2 with an Exhaust and bigger cooler.

well, i have thought about keeping them white, buts its just a bit too much in your face. i may do them silver just to tone it down a little. or i may even consider stretching to buying 17" versions of the same wheel, or maybe BBS CH's.

yeah, standard radio, and a phillips CD changer, thinks its only a 6 disk though iirc.

As regards genuine, it all looks pretty shit hot to me, mint leather and the bodywork is next to near split mint too.

Does yours have a gay DTM Edition badge on the fag tray, or has mine just been put on by someone?

I'd leave it standard, you could probably make some money on this by selling in the Total Vaux classified, and buy a regular Calibra if you want to mod one.

its not going to get ruined at all, and after cleaning the wheels properly today, i have decided they are going to be refurbished in the orignal colour and some new centre caps. and everything else is stopping standard.
