That's not what I meant TBH Steve

If you address it to a specific person, use 'yours sincerely'

If it's to dear sir/madam, use 'yours faithfully'

I'd make it as formal as possible, so I'd address it to a specific person and end it accordingly, not just put 'thanks', that's too informal I reckon.

Therefore, this proves that we were not on a mobile telephone at the time of the incident, deeming the third parties' accusations to be misjudged.

I fear the whole letter is junk.

MY letter to the courts definately helped me (Thanks dave17!) - it was apparently written by a lawyer dave17 used haha.

Contravene would normally be used for factual stuff not accusations. You can refute an accusation.

Also I'm not sure whether I would start the sentence with 'Therefore'.

Post the entire letter tbh.

Not sure whether an accusation would be false, its not a fact so it can't have that state.

Unfounded perhaps, or mistaken. Needs to sound accidental unless you want to make him out to be a liar. Might just be short-sighted and you've offended him unnecessarily.

In fact I wouldn't even say therefore we were this or that. Either you have facts or not. Its not really up to you to explain the implications of your proof.

I changed it for him, it doesn't say 'Therefore' now, and that's not a seperate sentence, it was at the end of the last paragraph.

Yes i do. He has said a few other things that were untrue. So if things go anyfurther this can be used agains him (the Mondeo man).

But as far as i know nothing else is going to happen in the matter.
