mine used to go to full when braking and then to empty when accelerating

Its the fuel moving round in the tank and moving the float that gives the reading

has it always done it?

As said, its just the float moving around in the tank...should also notice it when going round corners/roundabouts and up/down bank.

Oddly though, when I changed the clocks in my old corsa the SRI ones I used to replace my old ones didn't do it as much...perhaps the needle was stiffer Still did it to a certain extent though, just not as wildly

Nothing to worry about really IMO

I'm assuming the car in question already has rev counter clocks though as its a sport

Just one of those things I think

no i'm not taking a little bit the petrol gauge gos upgo's up?? i mean it go's off the gauge like well past the full mark

i don't no if it does it on corners etc i just noticed it on straight roads tbh

if i get a clocks from scrap yard will it not mess the mileage up? its full service history

i'm guessing it could just be a faulty clocks

thanks for info

there isnt a full mark. theres a 45 litre mark... but iirc you can get 47-48 litres in it... which would be past 45 litres.

some clocks are different, most are slow (so don't go up and down wildy, like ive seen on someone elses), but some go up and down like crazy
