Whats an Echeque? This is part of an email I got from an eBay seller when I bought an item last week:
quote: Dear Matt Gleadow,
Thank you for your payment via Echeque through the Paypal System in relation
to the following item (s)
1 - RING 300 WATT 12V DC CAR TO 230 AC POWER INVERTER
Echeque payments on average take up to 10 days to clear on a sellers account.
Please understand as per our terms and consitions of sale we cannot despatch
goods which payments recieved havent cleared. Many new to the echeque / ebay
system ar not fully aware of this procedure or perhaps payment has been made
via this method due to Credit Card / Bank Details held with Paypal have not
been updated etc etc.
I get that I'm not going to get my item until the payment clears but I dont get this Echeque business and why it takes 10 days to clear?! Never had anything like this before when buying on eBay. Always paid instantly through paypal and had goods dispatched a day or 2 after the order has been received!
So the bottom line is I'm going to end up not getting the item before I go away so I'm not even going to be able to use Just dont get what this Echeque thing is. Anyone enlighten me?

This usually happens when the date on the card that you have registered with Paypal expires. Have you got a new card in the past few months from your bank, if so you'll need to go onto Paypal and edit with your new card details.

Steve's right. An echeque is an electronic cheque, Kinda gives you time to put money in your account,
If you pay normally and you dont have enough money in one account it takes it out of the additional verified account
