Im colour coding my van as we speak and just on the 2nd coat of white...
Its rattle cans and from halford...need a quick answer...
As ive been told by halfords i dnt need laquering ...ive bought some anyway...But need a Defo answer

I was always under the impression block colours didn't need laquer, just metallics

I have always been under the impression that lacquer was used to protect the paint from stone chips etc for one reason, and so was needed on all paint

if its basecoat yes you need to clearcoat it
if its 2k paints you dont
personally i use basecoat and clearcoat

i cant tell what it is...Rang halford and they said i dnt need laquer...My last coat is dryin nw..
Its just Glacier white out of a can...
Its been dryin for 25mins Nw you reckon i should put laquer on it...or see how it is in the morning

2k paint has the clearcoat in it and it seperates and dries, so in effect it does have it, but you dont need to apply it

no laquer needed just polish it up when its dry

halfords paint isnt 2k, its just crap, some of it says it doesnt require laquer.
i would never use halords paint on a car though
