Well, after 13 weeks of waiting I took delivery of my car on thursday .

First shots of it the day it arrived at the garage

On collection day - Out with the old, in with the new (and no, the oil isn't off the corsa )

Then a few (poor) shots I took in the Welsh countryside...

Love it to bits, and have done 620 miles so far in it . Avearge of 30.5mpg though which I don't think is too bad .

Yeah got a really good deal on it (over £3k off the list price), and a decent price for my old corsa .

Am 22, insurance is going to be £700 when I renew in October (5Yrs NCB to thank for that!).

I don't dislike the blue, but I've wanted a red car for the last two i've had, and it stands out more in Red IMO - pics don't do it justice cause it's almost flurescent .

Yeah it's power red, but I'm under no confusions that it won't trun to Power Pink if not kept waxed . Old man had a Flame Red Cavvy about 10 years ago - was 8 years old when he sold it with 110k on the clock, but the paintwork looked like new, hence the reason I wanted red .

the reason the older cars used to turn pink if not polished often and waxed was that they were painted in 2k but now aday its all painted in a COB (clear over base) sytem so the colour stays red for alot longer but will still fad slowly if not looked after!

Yeah it's supposedly better at not fading [though a friend had a bright red Silvia that stood in a field for 2 years and that hadn't faded, so obviously they knew something Vauxhall didn't ]. Personally though I'm not holding my breath, and intend to keep it well polished anyway .
