Thats mine, its a 2001 Y reg, first of the TD4 engine. Good car although wouldn't use it every day, its a bit soft for me. Gets annoying if you need to be anywhere.

Ah I see, just dont know what to do tbh,fed up of bouncing around the roads in my lowered corsa and getting people moan that my exhaust is loud etc. I'm 23 and feel time for a change as get idiot 17 year olds round here with 1.2 corsas who think they are michael schumacher........and obviously i get tied in with the same brush..so thinking of changing my car, what car though??
Needs to be comfortable, good fuel economy and not associated with muppets

Wy have you got a freelander ian
Wouldn't be my first choice tbh, very bland looking, much like a vauxhall frontera or old shape rav4 or similar and you probably aren't going anywhere off road are you? What's the point, I would rather just get something a bit newer and don't mod it? No need to be buying silly pretend 4x4's

Guy at work has a 2.5 V6 auto. Goes like stink and stops quickly, but he drives it like a man posessed - 70 round country lanes
Don't like it really, very spartan inside and driving position looks weird (might just be were he has his seat).

Be careful of the Automatic Diesel Freelanders as they use the same BMW engine in the Rover 75's and are prone for the reverse gear going fubar.
Not sure how many variations of Diesel engine the freelander use but i know some at least use the same as the 75's.
