You do realise that 'converting' it to GSi/GTi/VTS spec body wise will make it pretty much as expensive to insure as the actual car, as the insurance company will see it as more likely to be stolen if it looks like the more desirable car...

Not if your policy says they dont take into account body mods.

The only problem with the 106 is that the majority of the hubs are 3 stud and adaptors are about 300.

To do a 106 or Saxo replica properly, you would have to change the rear 1/4 panels cause theyre completley different to VTR/S ones. Why not just buy a WestCoast or Furio, 1.4 8v, cant be that much to insure?

you dont have to change them iirc..
just have to mod the arches slightly for the plastic add-on to fit

Have to cut a curved shape out of them, cause they are too straight where as VTR/S are more rounded. Would also have to drill loads of holes on the doors for the plastic section that clips on, either that or bond it on.

dont agree with that at all tbh. ive been with a couple of different companies, with different policys. one insured all my mods for free the other insured all body mods for free, you only paid for increasing power mods. if the above is happening to you, i suggest you shop around!
