This thing was about the size of my hand, absolutely stunning. I managed to save it and it flew away in the end

had one in at work the other day, everyone was terrified of it and tried to kill it, i saved it and set it free , looked very simular to that and was massive.
i heard they can give you a nasty bite? not sure on that tho

quite possibly, it was the biggest dragon fly iv ever seen and we get a lot by our pond. It literally was the length on my hand a good 5 inchs or so

I found one of these dead in my engine bay once. The colours were really nice. Poor thing.

Used to see these all the time when i went fishing.. They can get REALY REALY big apparently! Not sure if its possible in the UK. Just done a search and found this ona forum..

judging by the size of those raspberrys, this one was bigger, check out the pic with the garden snail in the background

true lol. didnt notice that.. its hard to tell the actual size unless you compare it to somthing you actualy know the size of. Big and colourful fuckers though lol

Sometimes a few would fly into my parents garden, I would freak & run inside

There are pretty to look at, but they actually scare me if they come near me
