Thinking of changing my 1.6 16v for one of these...my 1.6 feels slow now and boring.....was going to tune but would cost too much? so be easier to buy a 2.0,just wondering about the fuel consumption as doing a lot of miles at min

consumptions now bad, if you dont have a heavy foot...

i got more mile's to the gallon in my old valver nova, than i did in my 1.4 sri nova

30-40 at a guess,

Been doing 300miles a week on £30 for passed 2 weeks. but the week before I got a bit right foot heavy and spent £50 in fuel to do the same miles.

I do about 280 miles for £30 in the 1.6 so not a lot of difference
Wouldnt thrash it everywhere anyway

its running 175bhp and drives it like 8,000rpm everywhere when in one of them moods.

standard, driving slow, there ace, but you wont get 100 miles to £10 in one. Maybe 70- 85

XE'd corsa are quite economical which makes sense if you think about it.

you can easily drive drive round doing gear changes at like 2-2.5k

best i got out of my valver was 35mpg on a long journey round town i get 25mpg and now i got throtle bodys i get around 8/9mpg
