Serviced the golf on Wednesday after it completing its running in miles.

Had it out the othe rnight with a mate and heard a knock then smoke went everywhere, came through the vents an that.. Turned the car off straight away and pulled in to watch this happen...







Looks like I hadn't tightened the sump plug enough although I can remember doing it.. new sump plug and washer will be getting bought this week just to be safe...

After searching the road we got it jacked up and got a mate to bring me oil... Lesson learned..

The cars fine, it lost all the oil once I'd pulled over, wouldve been a max of a litre of oil out it before I got it turned off..

eh, i dont see why smoke would go everywhere from oil escaping out the sump?

I'd guess that if he was driving, the oil managed to flick up onto the exhaust?

Mine smoked when my oil filter blew off, also made a rather large dent in my radiator
