Anyone been to Las Vegas before?
Me and a few mates are thinking of going in December. I've been before but it was about ten years ago so it will be totally different this time as i'll be able to drink and gamble.
Could do with advice on hotels as i've heard there are some that are in very rough areas where folk get shot and stuff. Not too fussed about price as we all said if we are going we've got to do it right. We want to stay in a well known hotel and would like to be on The Strip.
Which hotels would be best for a group of about 8 lads on the piss? Dont want anywhere really posh as we'll be a little out of place.
Hopefully the Hatton vs Mayweather fight will be held there so we'll be trying for tickets for that too.

yea i was going to say before i read to the bottom, id lvoe to go jsut to see the mayweather fight!!!
if u want cheap then go to the bottom end o fthe strip!! older hotels, still big just not as new etc as new york new york etc!!
nicest hotel is the bellagio, pure luxury!!
mgm grande stilla good one and thats where the fight will be held!!
or ceasers palace. one of them two!!
places where they people get shot is in downtown vegas, complete end of the strip and a bit dodgy.

i dont suppose it really matter where you stay then as you can just go to all the others anyway.

I've been a few times, stay in Imperial Palace right opposite Cesars. Nice location on the strip worlds largest private owned car museum on top floor of parking lot.
Going to take my gf for her 21st next April but staying in a time share nearer MGM.
Stratosphere is on the edge of the strip but its still in quite a decent location, its when you start heading downtown vegas (freemont street area) it gets bad.
Freemont street is a must see experience though so don't let it put you off, just keep to that street and you'l be fine its when you start wandering down streets that aint made for the tourists.
Wynns, Bellagio, Cesars, Venitian, Mandalay Bay, seem to be the upmarket ones.
Imperial Palace, Circus Circus, Stratosphere, Luxor, Flamingo Hilton are the middle of the range ones, then you have all your others that dot inbetween.
So much better when you can gamble, drink makes it more fun thats for sure.
