car has been on a diagnostics machine and said it needed a new lamda sensor when the engine management light came on.

i have now fitted 1 and the engine management light has still stayed on?

any ideas?

should i just get it reset?

It probably wasn't the lambda sensor then.
How far have you driven with the new sensor? Enough for the engine to fully warm up?

The light should go straight off once the faulty sensor has been replaced, but the fault code may remain for a while.
