Excellent work
What was your overall degree classification?

No no no no no you don't.
Remember, people are angry/fedup and want to take it out on someone. Being a helpdesk, you get the brunt of it. Its ok for a few years, but then game over, enough is enough.... On a Helpdesk (1st) your not looking at that great a wages. Get yourself into 2nd/3rd line at least as you get to go out and around to fix things instead of being stuck on a desk.
Been doing support the last 6-7 years, can't stand it. Im looking to move onto the technical stuff where the big moneys at.

Im in exactly the same situation as daimo, and just handed my notice in because of it.
even though you have that degree it wont really count for much early on in an IT career, you will have to start at the bottom on 1st line then progress onto 2nd line as quick as you can.
a few years into your career onace you gain some experience you degree will really help getting a decent job with a blue chip company somewhere then the money will start coming in.

Im a windows 2000 MCP and it has not counted for shit in any IT jobs i have ever done, nor have the AD & exchange courses i did at learning tree, again its experience, experience etc etc.
granted some companies pay well for full on MCSE`s though.
im doing my vista MCTS end of august as there should be some contract roll out jobs coming up over the next couple of years, easy money.

Well done fella Just finished mine and almost fainted when i got my results Really nothing like that feeling
After the last exam we had a little party at mine, was mint We planned on going to town when we got our results but my 2 mates failed Ended up spending the night not knowing what to say One had not got a standard degree and the other has to resit next year
As Seth said, you will now find that your degree means nothing in the real world unless you have a fist class and going for a graduation job. It does help though
