You can end up with lung cancer from passive smoking so thats not self inflicted?

What he means is that it CAN be a self inflicted disease in a matter of speaking

they should make them go to gyms/exercise by law, ie if you are over a certain weight for you height, age etc you should have to have weekly checks, similar to alcoholics on rehab etc

dont get me started on self infliction. The NHS are giving out free pills to help people stop smoking, something which people have a CHOICE over
yet, my friend has cystic fibrosis and has to PAY for their medication every month on prescription, which can be up to £100 a month
how is that fair

and then we can have another cs debate about why tax payers money should pay for the above.

yup fair point, well either way fat people cost a fortune, and i cant see the taxes from the food they consume making a profit unlike the possibility that smokers do
As to the paying for medication that is necessary can she not obtain an exemption form, i have one for my epilepsy as i have to take 4 tablets a day and i dont have to pay for any of them as its necessary for me.

fat people are heavier than the average person yet pay the same price on planes, trains, buses but because of there immense girth there is a need to use more fuel to haul them along that the normal person pays for
fat people get all the perks really, much like imigrants

If you feel you need to do these things there are plenty of pprivate health care companys who will gladly take your money for treatment.
No. If this was true then everybody who smoked would get cancer, which quite clearly isn't the case is it?
