Whats the difference between a corsa 1.4 16v sport and the 8v model in terms of performance.

Would the 16v be quicker and if so would it be lower down the rev range or top end.

hi the 8v is about 82bhp and the 16v 89bhp so not that much difference but the 16v would be slighty faster both top end and acceleration apparently the 8v is more reliable/bulletproof engine dunno though never had one if got the 16v

On a post before it has stats of the both cars on list of 100fwd cars

Quater mile:

16v 19.07
8v 19.31

Dont know how true it was.
Isent much in it tbh, I personally would keep my 8v as engine work is piss easy

16v 89bhp
8v 82bhp

in book, 8v is slightly down top end, acceleration power and torque. I have 16v and it's a very good engine for a 1.4
