recently decided not to renew my insurance... got a letter through to confirm this, but im kinda worried about this:
Will my no claims bonus entitlement remain valid indefinitely? No.
Under normal circumstances your no claims bonus entitlement will become invalid two years after the expiry date. After this time, if it has not been used, you will not be entitled to any no claims bonus. This time allowance may vary between insurance companies, but the majority will allow two years.

so i take it that only applies if i dont have any car insured for a couple of years? still seems like a proper rip off though!

Yeah, if you dont insure a new car within 2 years you lose the bonus

indeed i do learn something new everyday 
and yeah i will of course be insuring a car... but for instance my bro didnt drive for around four years, due to basically not needing to! started again this year, he didnt have any NCB anyway as he had a crash previously but if he did have, that would piss me off!
