People bang on that they are well maintained, but you probably wouldn't come across a more thrashed engine...

I'd guess so theyre normally dirt cheap.... and theres some pretty decent colours on them now as well. Providing theres no/little evidence of them being ex police cars then you get a good bargain

On just a bog standard run about, yeah I would. Will have been maintained to death so on a 306 D you will get some nice reliable motoring.

brother just bought an ex police 3.0 V6 omega.. very good for £570 its a lot of car.. very well maintained as well..

i wouldnt see there being any more problems with a cop car than a normal car, less if anything. But then gain im only guessing

i wouldnt have a problem buying an ex police motor as i used to service ambulances/police cars for essex and i know how good the maintainence schedule was for those.

i looked at an ex police panda mk4 astra, was a basic model, but had rear disc brakes and an under car shield thing! awesome, unfortunately had a couple of holes in the dash and was white.

Deffo buy 1.The Omegas etc go for stupidly cheap £££ and they will have been maintained to the highest standard.
Some even say that the patrol cars have had an ECU remap for a bit extra oomph.Which i quite believe is true.

But from when the coppers have them they are drive all day every day, but then alot maintence would have kept it sound
