Im really just looking for some genral Advice and Tales really...
Il be taking my cupra round the track at trax this year but what do i need equipment wise and how much is it?
I really fancy at having ago at something like this i know nearly most off you on here that have done it so whats it like?

what do you really want to know. Ask direct questions and you'll get direct answers 
Make sure your car has good brakes and decent tyres as a minimum. Having to stop early is annoying.
Start slow, taking in other peoples lines etc, then slowly build the pace/conf up

Its was Advice in genral...
Like What tyre and brakes should be like ect...Would standard be alright if i take it easy...
But i will purchase some really good tyres...tho..
Do i need to buy a helmet for the event...Never Done anything like this before...
Il defo be starting slow and takin my time...
And like you said watching over people lines will help..(Think that will be the main problem for me tbh)

standard stuff is ok good tyres is a good idea, as for the helmet you can usualy hire 1 on the day but if you can get hold of you're own your laughing! take some oil and water with you for topping up and run 15-20 minute sessions at atime. also when you come in to the pits DONT put park with the handbrake on as it could distort your rear brakes!!!

i wouldnt do trax's as your first track day personally
ive seen more spins and accidents at trax's than all the other days ive been to, seems to bring the worst out in people, espically when your in the novice group

how do groups work then? what happens if some is crap and rams your car into a corner?

I had considered this when i was thinking about running mine at trax but now ive heard it elsewhere i wont bother. Will be too many show offs

yeah i was Genraly thinking that as i was told theres quite a few accidents every year...
id love to experiance the thrill of takin part in a track day but as ive never done it..think i might look else were to get used to what it is like..
As for a helmet could i use my bro Motor bike helmet?
