I shave my own hair normally down to either a number 1 or no attatchment at all. I had let it get very long, had not shaved it for nearly 2 months so decided enough was enough and it needed doing. Half way through, my clippers broke So, half head of hair, half without and im shitting myself wandering wtf i can do about it at ten at night. Thankfully, i had an old set that id forgotten to throw out and managed to finish it.

So, need some new clippers, anyone got an recommendations or had a similar experience

I went to the hairdresser round the corner from here, tried to explain how I wanted it (medium length so I can style it) but my explanation of "short at the sides and a bit longer on top" ended up with me looking like an Army grunt.

Live and learnl.

Bet the natives thought "here we go again!"

i shave mine off to the highest with no guard, my last set were adee and phelan or somet, they lasted about 6 months and the plastic clip broke just after i had used them and were in the middle of cleaning them, current set are babyliss and they are the exact same design so i expect them to break in a few months. My gf is a hairdresser and with regular use none of them last for the long she says.

I'm just back from the hairdressers, got it all chopped off into a short (REALLY SHORT) bob Last thing I said to the stylist was 'don't cut it too short'
