Just get a bright orange Grande Punto Sporting 1.9 Multijet. You know it makes sense J-Dawg.

DC2/5, but ay have trouble finding a good one for under £10k.
Focus RS is a very good car. I think it'll go up in value. Would be tempting.
Wouldn't have an S3, I just find them so boring, smooth and plain to drive. Good built cars, but its like getting out of a Focus ST after hammering a VXR about. Smooooth relax and boring.
For £10k, i wouldn't really go for a vauxhall, unless its a 3.2 V6 Omega Elite.
Hard choice, but what kinda car? Could have something small, fast, but the women will laugh, but u'll have fun. Or do you want a pimpin daddyoooo car, with no power, but plenty o room for whores and hoes.
Honda S2000 would be tempting at that kinda dosh.
Or take your bike test, and go and buy yourself a spanking new 185+mph 1000cc sports bike (but probably die that same day).

Cant get a DC5 for less than 10k, unless its been trashed, but a DC2 you can get a minter for 7k, not sure where your coming from there

Of most of the cars mentioned, none are goig to be particularly (if at all) faster than the cally-T. If it was me and the cally-T was a good-un I'd be inclined to splash a bit on it and keep that TBH, especially if you have a run about for work .
Depends what you want though really. Do you intend on keeping the car long, and are you bothered about residuals etc?

i realise how sily my post sounded, i need a NEWER car (forgot to mention that bit) Something a bit more refined and comfy.
Fast i meant anything that isnt ridiculasly slow!
Car ideally would be for 2-3years but obviously dependant on my circumstances changing but thats the outlook

S2000 would be high up my list then.
Or even "shock" a Civic Type R, they are great cars, just its like owning a BMW, comes with the smegg head image.
What kinda car you after, big and fast, small and fast. Just general town/shopping/work mincing?
What about a derv Mk4 golf? Friends TD130 had a few tweeks (like a Merc air flow meter) and it really wasn't that much slower than my corsa, but he still returned 40+mpg... Standard everything else. Jabba etc map will see 150-160bhp, and stupid torque amounts, but retain drivability also?

astra coupe turbo, you would get an 04/05 with leather and all the goodies, bit like a new calibre imo
astra gsi is nice but they seem to be a bit over rated, your paying more for the silly boot spoiler than the car it self

Getting fed up/bored with mine so want to get a new car
£9k budget, possibly stretch to £10k
Has to be:
1. Fast
2. Good looking
3. Not a ibiza/leon/106 gti/type r
Insurance is not really an issue, but no P1s evos etc as they all have dreamworld ins prices (i can insure a lotus esprit v8 cheaper than a p1!)
SO suggestions please
How bout a Lotus Espit V8 Jam?
How much are Lotus Carltons going for nowadays?
