With a private plate, the seller wants to remove his plate and is going to the local dvla office to do so today, but will need to wait 2 weeks for the log book to come though

Would I be able to write him a sort of reciept saying i bought the car on such and such a date and if and fines ect are issued from then on they are my problems? Until the logbook is in my name?

2 weeks fo logbook to come back to him so he can send it away for another 2 weeks to put new persons name

Just sold my Leon Cupra with my reg on, and bought a car with someone else's on, biggest pain in the arse and all the fee's and xfering involved,

I bought my new car with the owners reg on, just going to keep it on until he give me the new logbook and old plates, DVLA hate that, but make some form of reciept
