suggestions for my bro! doesnt want a van this time around... wants a car with lots of space though, preferably diesel (but would still go petrol) doesnt like french cars really!

budget of £1,500 might stretch to £2k for something with a lot lower miles

try out a corsa 1.5 turbo diesel I got mine for £1450 in tip top condition

Not liking French cars limits the diesel options imo!!

Could get a mk3 Golf GT TDi though no doubt.

were cctv engineers and all is we use 4 work is 1.4 and 1.6 8v astra mk3 5 doors they last about 60-70,000 miles then we chuck them in the bin. we pay 500 max aswell for a fully motd and taxed car search ebay brilliant cars so fukin reliable and cheap,

DONT GET A 16V THOUGH FOR WORKS USE.
i owned a 1.6 16v astra sport(obviously i payed more than 500) for my own use only i had no end of problems and it was running 17mpg before it cost about a grand to repair.
