Anyone ever had to do this? Any tips or advice? It's just finally hit home that I've got to stand in front of hundreds of people in a fortnights time and try to not make a complete tit of myself
Any help would be much appreciated

i did it at me brothers wedding a couple of years ago, went down quite well, i was shitting it as i dont like doing anyhting like that but once i got going i was loving it. dont just use cheesy jokes that you find online, make sure you have a funny story that isnt too offensive or one that just your mates will find funny, you have to appeal to everyone there. i only wrote mine the day before the wedding, couldnt believe the laughs i got

Google some best man speeches, like an opening line as that seems to be the hardest part, afterwards just refer to some funny moments in his life etc and how ur dead proud of him/her etc

I'm in the process or writing one for my mates wedding, had no idea where to start but it's coming together now
Public speaking is always a bit nerve wracking but have a few drinks and you'll be fine, especially once it starts going well.

I always think its funny if your using a microphone to pretend its working while its muted, turn it on and say "thats about it really lets raise a glass" i might just be very unfunny
