Right, once my Coupe is sold I think I'm gonna get oone of these. My brother in law has one and its mega economical and tax is just £35!!
BUT.... What are my options with regards to making it a bit quicker? Remaps, exhausts etc, and what results are possible?
Cheers.

Tuning box from ebay, ed will testify as to the difference it makes.
Definitely the best bang for buck.
Shouldn't cost you any more than 150 quid.

So the tuning box isn't far off the remap then and probably a good 300 quid cheaper?

id go for tuning box tbh...when we were at regal...they kept sayin..oh how bad the tuning boxes are...puttin in too much oil etc..jjst cos they wanted people to do a remap..sayin that tuning boxes on the 1.7 were giving it less power! lol
but regal bs...as i have found out when they told me would be £500 to sort out my wiring..after 2 hours readin diagrams and a £1.25 relay i did it myself! lol

Did my driving lessons in a 1.7DTi and a 1.3CDTi, 1.3 was surprisingly quick for a 1.3 diesel.

I really liked it, 1.7 had loads more torque, but cdti was far more quiet.

I'm not too keen on the 1.7 either, sooo noisy. My bro in laws 1.3 is far more refined imo.
