Just watched the vidio for the 1st time, selfish old bugger needs to stfu & realise all was done that could be done. He should be thanking the folk that put their own life at risk not have a go at them, I doubt he would have been much use on the scene at the time!!
5foot+ of dirty rushing water is no place to be fucking about trying to hack off someones limb, theres procedures fot this sort of thing, they cant just hack off someones leg underwater!

Notice how no-one has commented on what the hell the muppet was doign walking outside during the floods anyway.
So in effect, he caused his own death. Waters didn't rise that quick, his own stupiditty meant he got his foot caught in the drain.
Always need someone to blame, blame the fire team. I mean, its not like the amount of money for the amount of danger they go through is worth it is it..
I'd love to see half the big mouths on here have the bottle to be a fireman. I know i wish i had the bottle. Takes a lot of courage..
And wtf was the dad doing taking pictures??? The LAST thing on my mind would be to take pictures on my phone of my son nearly (and actually) dying..
Still....... Northeners

I havent read past the 1st page of the thread but i would have thought that the minute they suspected he was losing conciousness and wasnt going to be able to hold on much longer while they tried to free him, then they would have had no option but to amputate his foot.
Not sure why this wasnt done possibly they didnt have the equipment with them i mean its not as if they could just stick the hydrolic cutters on the fellas leg is it.
Definately not the firefighters fault, as said they're risking their lives trying to help and becuase they failed the old man wants someone to blame.

Found out more.
He was supposed to be fixing the drain "before" the flood came through...
So how long does it take to fix a drain? And surly its his companies responsiblity for only sending out 1 man to do a job in "potentially" dangerous conditions.
Wonder if the firefighters blame each other when someone gets killed?
The father is looking for someone to blame. Im very sure the emergency services were not just sitting around drinking coco while the guy drowns...

This is stupid. What everyone fails to realise is that his son just died, and he's looking for someone to blame, regardless if it was or wasnt their fault
