anyone know where i can get some funding to pay for training courses?

i want to get my fork lift truck licence, but the company i work for (speedy hire) dont need me to have it, so wont pay for it.

i want to get it, just for another qualification.

any ideas?

I doubt anywhere would give funding to you to do it unless you changed jobs and worked for them, otherwise they wouldn't get anything out of it would they?

some councils give funding apparently, just cant seem to find out about it from my council..

yup as simon says

can only get fundung from your own company unless you pay for it yourself some companies only accept thier own training anyway.

I worked briefly for HSS, they were going to put me on fork list & PAT test but I refused as I had other ideas.

I paid £50 for my fork lift license! Not alot really. I cant see why anyone would pay for it if they dont need you to have one.

I got made redundant and went to the jobcentre and got it all paid for
