Thats stupid IMO. I'm all up for punishing the driver, etc. and punishing the old fella too. But to give him a prison sentence when he is that old, unwell and looks after his ill wife is stupid.
Especially when all we hear about these days is how full the prisons are and how they are letting serious offenders out early.

There's a family up at Windermere that all got jailed for a similar thing. Son got caught speeding and was going to get banned if convicted so his Dad tried to take the points but I think they had a pic of the car and who was driving it at the time. Also they found emails between the Mother and the solicitor plotting it all so the Mother got jailed aswell. Think the solicitor was that Nick Freeman fella...

well as long as its driver related they get over sentenced however kill someone and u get away with a light slap on the wrist now a days

fair do's for punishing. But prison is silly with the crowded state their in and the fact they are letting scum out early to make space

i was talking to a guy in a shop about the whole speeding fines not long ago and he said his dad took some points otherwise he would have got banned
