Hi Guys,
Just wanted your opinions on why people actually put phat bodykits and Spoilers on their Cars?
I understand for "the looks" it may improve the car but performance wise it's a real downer....
My mate who owns a polo Gti always slates people with Bodykits and Huge Spoilers for the simple fact that it weighs the car down (yes even more than usual) and aerodynamically it does the car no good!
So ummm yea
+ little cars don't like extra weight....

cars wouldnt be disigned the way they were if they were meant to look different. its all about in the owners opinion making small improvements that the manufactures were unable to do due to legal requirements eg smoothing side reps. or the fact that the car wouldnt be practical to the market its aimed at eg owering, well thats what i think anyway

as silly as it sounds mine was not too bad - 1.6 16v engine tunes to 147bhp, revs right off the clock was amazing for what it was, pulled well with the kit on and 20's. 72mph in 2nd according to the road angel and didnt dare hit the limiter.
I was going for looks then got the engine to finish the car off spec wise
now im out of modding buying a sensible new beema and calling it quits but i wouldnt slate modified cars at all

they put on bodykits and spoilers to improve the looks, if it actually does improve the look that is another question.
each to their own at the end of the day.

most people do understand that fully and its for looks... at the end of the day car modification would be s**t if there was no individuality involved agreed??? the world would have the same cars modded the same sounding the same and infact why not ask the company to just bring out a corsa that has all the common mods that people have? modded is to be original not the SAME
