Needin help people... This is stressing me out!
the girls car is misfiring like f***
Its a 99 corsa 1.0 12v
i thought it was the coil pack so i got one from the scrappys. Changed it and it still misfired. I changed the plugs and it ran perfectly for about 2 minutes then started missin again! I took the plugs back out and they were all sooty already!!
So i got another coil pack from warren g and new plugs. changed them again but its still missin I dunno what else it could be!
Any Ideas?
NO SOUND BUT MIGHT HELP A BIT!!

1 of the mechanics at my work has a compression tester so that isnt a prob so il do that first.. if thats ok al have to take it to vaux for the timing check

Coolant Temperature Sensor
Also try to get hold of another air flow meter. Maybe not your problem but i know its a common problem with the 1.2 16valves.

coolant temp sensor
and and they don't have leads on that engine, the black box in the middle of the rocker cover is a coil pack. That is instead of having leads.

Timing should be fine on these as its on chains? Assuming nothing has been altered or the chain removed.
Also is your Engine Management light on?
Have you tried disconnecting your battery for 10 mins when fitting these new parts. Only really relevant if your engine management light is on but worth a shot.

mike i didnt think they had leads then when someone mentioned them i thought i was bein daft lol. i dont think it will be the timing chain as it has never been altered and didnt used to misfire. where is the coolant temp sensor located on this engine?

afm will make it bog down not misfire
timing can jump when chain wears
just get a compression check done first

If you look at the video the where the 2 bits of wiring loom are to the left of the engine, 1 will go to the coolant temp sensor, the other to the cam position sensor but I can't remember which is which.
