iv come home and i cant sign in to msn says my user name or password is invalid, its not as its on remember me and my ebay account wont let me in either,
my problem is its that long since iv set them both up i cant remember the answeres AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHH

Could be more than that, could be trojan, or keylogger. There for more might have been comprimised.

An anti virus will only protect you against things Its aware of to protect you against (if you get me)
If its new hackware, malware, spyware that comes out, or isnt submitted as a threat to the anti virus developers or your anti virus isnt updated in time, its often too late.
Norton doesnt really protect you against phishing, Ie7 has a built in phishing filter much like anti virus, it has to subscribe to known sites which do this.
sounds like you've been caught off gaurd or someeones got lucky.

not always stop them no.
go on ebay and do an advanced search, choose username and put yours in. someone i know had his hacked and they were selling loads of things on it... then when all the buyers got conned he would have been first in the firing line.
