They weren't just crushed for being modified, they were street racing.

I think racing at high speeds on the pubilc highway (roads to us) often for money, using cars with stolen parts is different from having a set of alloys on your car

Its a huge problem in america, I think the way there dealing with it is pretty fair!

You obviously havent read it all. They are using stolen car parts, and illegally racing, its more of a lifestyle for them. Very fast and furious-esque. In which people actually get killed as a result.

13 deaths related to street racing since March is pretty scary (not sure if thats just in CA alone?) those kids need something to wake them up & open their eyes, crushed car might be that wake up call!!

found this funny though

Zavala, who admits he has been involved in street racing, estimates he and his mother spent about $10,000 on improvements to his car.

"The 18-year-old mechanic said a vehicle identification sticker apparently fell off and without it, police suspected some of the parts were stolen. "

Southern CA.
But then how many people have died in car accidents in this country during this time?

Street racing was born in America. It spread all over the world. It'll never stop. Theres far too much land and far too many quiet roads that are 10's of miles in a straight line. Its awesom, and tbh, i completly understand why its all about straightline power and not corners over there.

Using stolen parts though, thats just nasty.

Seriously though, as someones said, think Fast and Furious, its really what it is like out there.

Just go on videos.streetfire.net and look at all the street racing on there.

A 106 GTi would be utterly useless in America, no twisties to beat Evos on.
