Morning guys
Well the time has come to sort a new car for work - But this year the system has changed and we dont have company cars anymore, instead we get a car allowance! I end up getting roughly £6kish for the year but this is obvioulsy taxed (some of that will be at 40% too) so will prob leave me with about £4.5k to £5k?

So what do I do? I dont want to use my own savings so I will get a loan or lease I suppose but as Ive always bought all my cars cash, I have no idea on finance etc? Do I get a loan, do I lease, do I buy brand new? The other thing is, I have to get it in the next two weeks as well!!!

If I do buy, Im also looking at second hand - 1 to 2 years old ! What do I buy? Thinking of a Jag X type Sport diesel cos the S Type that Ive just got rid of was a great car!

Cheers in advance guys!!!

So you could spend up to about £400 a month if you got it through finance? Could get a pretty nice car on finance for that

Do you need a big car or just a commuter? If its just for work, get a Fabia vRS, least then you can have a bit of fun.
