at everything they do. their systems dont work, their callcentre staff are rubbish, they take ages to return documents and even then they come with the wrong details on.

sold a car a year ago, sent off the docs correctly and get a letter back from them to confirm the transfer of ownership. then last month I get a tax reminder so ring them and they confirm its a mistake and they will update their records.

then on friday I get a £50 fine through for not notifying them of the car being scrapped? will they listen? no they claim I have to pay it or see them in court. I better get my suit cleaned I think........

the dvla centres round wales and chester are spot on

agreed, have taken about 3 months to get me a log book

buy and sell the car before they get the fooking log books back

seems they can do as they like and take as long as they like. Try taking 2 months to renew your tax disc or notify them of a sale of a vehicle.....

they're fine with communication when you owe them money but when it comes to them doing something for you its a completely different story. just like the inland revenue

never had to sort anythin out with them where they owe me money, but when its come to removing private plates they only take 9 days like i originally thought compared to the 3 weeks plus other people said it would take

swearing/shouting works with them


i ring up, ask were my logbook is, they haven't received it after 4 weeks, have a moan, and within next 3days i have it, even though they didnt even have it 3days previous

This happened to me with the punto, and i assured them id reiceved the change of ownership letter even sent them a copy, but they said as im the registered owner on there computer i have to pay the fine
