Very pissed off man just came into work. There is nobody in the showroom because sales team are lazy sods, so this fella came in to shout at me in parts.
He bought a new corsa yesterday and the numberplate has fallen off. It was held on with sticky tape according to him
Wonder which mechanic did the PDI checks?

Its the small details that make buying a new car worth while or not.
when i was a salesman few years back, i would sell some reasonably expensive cars to to reasonably rich people who expected a high quality of service.
when we sent off the PDI request to the service dept and asked for plates to be put on the car the last thing we wanted was for the plates on a 75k car to be put on wonkey as the service guys couldnt be bothered to spend a couple of extra seconds to put them on straight.
good on you for helping him out, and good on him for complaining.

its not nessesarily the mechics fault. Our sales team are Cnuts and wont ever pay for the cleaner/ tighter bond primer your supposed to wipe over first. soo come winter, when the temperatures fall, the number plates are gunna drop like flies.
well also only get 0.2 (12 mins) to do a pdi and it normally takes that long just to get the car into the workshop. lol.
it isn't right and its not professional but its not just the mechanics fault.

0.2 for a PDI we used to get 1.6 When I worked at Suzuki. Had to check everything.

this is on the renaults, which have supposedly already been done at the factory and we shouldn't have to open the bonnet altho we do as the levels are never spot on.
in contrast we get about 1.5 when doing nissans
