I dont know how you can say that. What if you caused a crash, the other driver died and you survived?

I dont think its cool at all,at least im willing to admit ive done wrong, instead off being a sheep,i know people who say its wrong and you should be banned, yet ive been in a car with them doing over a ton.i just hate people on forums that hide behind a username contradicting themselves.

The only one contradicting themselves here is you. You put 3 "cool" smileys after the boasts that yo did 120 and 143mph and then say you don't think it's cool.

You're not making any sense.

Lets be clear here - I've driven fast - but I also wouldn't adopt the stance that it doesn't matter.

I'm not scared to say it - I'm also not going to quote anything - but it did occur to me that if the wheel fell off I would leave behind a family and friends. I slowed down.

i know, I've exceeded the limit before I'll admit it. It's just that you said that you didn't think it was cool but had all the cool smileys that's what I was going on about mate.

I admire you for admitting it, not many people do.

the cool smileys mean im cool with saying what ive done in the past.i doubt i will be doing it again to be honest i have a niece now and im crazy about her so i dont wanna risk it anymore.

but theres also contradicting on here when people say dont go that fast over here ,yet they say they wanna go to the autobahn and drive at stupid speeds, whats the diffrence between doing a ton on a british motorway and doing it on a german motorway? nothing both have the same risk's yet its most peoples dreams on forum to go on the autobahn?

Because Autobahns are actually safer as other road users know what to expect.

Plus I don't think anyone would say that they want to go to an Autobahn to tailgate and pass on the near side like that guy in the video.

so the shock of someone doing 180mph past some old dear doing 50 on the autobahn is different to it being on the a1? she wouldnt shit her self and swerve into the nearst ditch, just becasue its the autobahn?

same dangers

If those are the rules of that road then yes, the drivers expectations should be that people will use the road in this way.

Its not perfect and there are accidents in Germany, but the rules do have a bearing on it.

im not saying what the bloke in that video was doing was right by the way as it isnt

i just fail to believe you think the dangers are less at 180mph or whatever on the autobahn, where theyre really exactly the same

I disagree.

For a start the German roadworthyness test is stricter and drivers know what to expect. I've driven in the UK and German and made this decision based on what I observed.

The Autobahns I saw were curtious and considerate places. I can't say the same for any UK motorway.

yeah im wrong, 180mph is safe in germany but not here. i guess over there the likelyhood of something going wrong at that speeds is greatly reduced then. like someone wont pull out in front of you, or somethinh wont deteriorte (cant spell for shit) on a car at that speed just becasue its germany.

hmm

The roads are constructed differently in Germany, they are stronger, so the chances of something going wrong (with a pothole) are greatly reduced, yes.

I think hes saying driving fast in Germany is differant as you're all aware of each others intentions (to a degree anyway) Also the repurcussions of driving like a fool are harsher.

I dont understand how they got him for that unless as stated earlier he just admitted to it!

Overtaking on the hard shoulder is pretty shocking imagine hitting a broken down car at 100mph
