Just had a look on parkers and its nearly the same.
The sport ::
Top Speed :119mph
0-60 : 9.5s
The VTR
Top Speed : 116mph
0-60 : 9.9s
But the saxo weighs less, so which is really quicker?

a m8 of mine has a vtr and reckons hes had 140 out of it, its completly standard??
thinks hes tellin porkys
but my old 1.4 vsx went like s**t of a shovel and handled amazing. was alot quicker than my 1.4 corsa sport

ive had 130 out of my gsi with plenty of revs left, so no chance he had 140 out of a vtr
is a pug gti-6 similar to the mi-16?

doubt you had a 130mph, i had a 131bhp corsa sport and that cetainly didnt. more likely speedo inaccurate etc
The MI-16 is the old 1.9 engine and was 160/148bhp
GTi-6 is a steel block, slightly heavier but is 167bhp as standard.
The 306 S16 used the mi16 block i think.

all i have had out of my 1.6 sport is 110mph and my mate has just bought a 106 gti which is standard and he said he done the clock

i had 115 out of my 1.4 sport which was very impressed with and just got pipercross induction kit on it

my 98bhp saxo keeps up with ( cant comment on beating ) 1.6 sports,
has a 4-2-1 GMC manifold,
Had an "indicated" 130 out of it on a "private" stretch of the M5 It felt fine,
Handles like a go - kart
But then it is built like one
