and iv thought of this, im going to demand a refund on the grounds that because the springs are so big they will effect handleing and will compremise the safety of my vehical and i am not willing to take the risk.

Hi,
I have had these looked at by a mechanic they are wrong as iv compared them to my last set of lowering springs and these are nearly twice the size. I want a full refund on the grounds that these will compromise the safetly of my vehical due to the fact that they will be ill fitting and i am not willing to take that risk.
I have a right for a full refund as these are not fit for purpose and i will bring in tradeing standards if you do not comply.
cheers.
just emailed him that. I think it gets the point accross without being to threatening.

they clearly don't fit and he's telling you they do fit so he doesn't have to pay any postage costs when returned as they will be used.

No. You don't have to pay 25%. It's his fault, you shouldnt loose out on a penny. Tell him that or you'll take it further.
This REALLY Pisses me off

demon tweeks off the top of my head?
25% handling charge is harsh as he fucked up, not you, i would fight for a full refund as you'll have to pay about 17 quid for nothing now on top of more springs.
tell him to shove his handling charge and you won't accept anything less than a complete refund or £59.00 + £10.00
