I am a complete numpty when it comes to Maths in general unless its addition and subtraction(!), and am trying to work out my marks for one of my Uni modules.

The module is 100% coursework over 2 different assignments.

Group assignment 1 is worth 45% of the 100%, and I got 70% out of 100% in this assignment.

Group assignment 2 is worth 55% of the 100%, and the lecturer said over email I got 46 out of 55, which I presume he means 46% out of 55%.

What's my overall mark with assignment 1 and 2 added together?

So your overall total is 77% i think.

come to think of it, it could be 77% if your lecturer means that you got 46% of your whole module on the 2nd assignment...I worked it out the first time based on you getting 46% of the assignment, not the module

i did

70/100 * 45

46/55 * 100 = 83.6 then 83.6/100 * 55

1st exam = 31.5% of the 45%

2nd exam = 46% of the 55%


Overall result = 77.5%
