Looking underneath them, you can see that it is just a 5 Door Corsa Floor pan and the places for the coil springs are there as they would be on a Corsa. Can you not just fit the suspension from a corsa and ditch the leaf springs altogether? When i first looked underneath i though someone had nicked the springs untill i saw the leaf springs.

Long time no update! Well things are going rather slowly, it looks like it may only be ready for the later part of the show season. As the moment it looks a bit of a Frankenstein creation with things in different colours! I have a set of quite new 5 Spoke Astra Alloys on it now. I won them with tyres for £68, bargain! A new Alternator is ready to go on. I also now need a water pump as that seems to be leaking. I am busy on the bodywork at the moment. Now summers is here i am hoping to get through it a bit faster. Still need to get the roof pod sorted though as it is a right mess. What were Vauxhall/Opel thinking of when they designed it? Very heath robinson and obviously done on the cheap! It is inevitable that they will rust no matter what, as they have a water trap around the seal.
I will try and get around to taking some updated photo's.

A productive weekend whilst you were all at PV, wish i could have made it!
 On the upside i re-sprayed my front bumper and spoiler white and the m3 mirrors gloss back. Installed the new alternator. Managed to get the rusy roof pod off finally as well. Taking it off somewhere local today to see if i can fibre glass ones made. So all in all it is looking less pikey! I will get some pics up later.

Sounds like a good project mate needs to be updated in project and builds with new pics
