A thread on this car every fortnight i reckon
Have owned one myself a few years ago when they were relatively to expensive for the chav market. I just keep seeing ned versions now and this car has seriously fallen down in desirability stakes imho. If you look hard enough there are some good ones out there and always some 'correctly' modded ones on seat cupra.net.
tuning potential is huge, handling out of the box is crap, brakes just about cope if you remap you need the brembos of an R imo.

standard brakes are "ok-ish" better pads and discs needed imho
i have nowhere near as much faith in the handling as i did in my old mk4 fiesta, but then i dont rag the shit out of this day in day out like i had to in my old 1.2 power ship.
motorway driving is a pleasure in this car

guess it depends on your driving style, i had uprated discs and pads and for a 200+bhp when remapped they struggle.
Badger 5 do brembo kits for £600 iirc? defo worthwhile mod.

lol sorry to be picky and if you look in other threads i have praised this car many a time but the standard seats are all looks, about as comfortable as a park bench, so id disagree with the motorway driving being a pleasure. my veccy GSi with recaros was ace for that.

i dont find them that bad to be honest with you, and i'm quite a lump.
the only bad thing about the brembos are that they dont fit behind standard wheels, otherwise i'd have a set!
