My mum got off with jury duty aswell, got her doctor to write a line. Your doctor will only do that if they feel its the correct thing to do & not just because you dont want to have to go
I asked the doctor and he said he could get done for aiding and abetting and he could lose his job and he would have had to stand up in court and explain why I can't be there - apperantly

I did jury service it was awesome!
Had two weeks paid off work, they pay your petrol and parking. You get £5 a day for food.
If you reject doing it now they will call you back up to do it again
not true you cn defer your service or try to get out of it all toghether.
I got clean out of it.
And it doesnt seem that hard to get out of it i only said i was sitting exams ect, my friend also did the same but he choose to defer his service.
they never checked or asked for proof i.e exam timetables/ uni contact nuber ect.
