Got my MOT soon and was wondering if i have to put the back seats, back in for it.

Have been told that it should be ok as lond as the rear seat belts are not there

Help would be great !

you have been informed correctly... i put my corsa through the mot last year with only one seat fitted as i didnt have the eye bolts for the passenger side harness

Mine went through last friday with a stripped interior

Aslong as the rear seatbelts arnt present when the rear seats arnt there they cant say anything

Just 1 more question, this time about my springs

My cars lowered 60mm and standard shocks, will that be ok or will i have to put the normall springs back on ??

it will be ok as longs as:

the wheels do not foul the arches or any other components.

the springs dont fall out when the car is jacked up (cant see it happening tbh, but heard of it)

No not too bouncy and i dont think there gonna fall out so should be ok then

Surely if you get your car mot'd with only the fronts it means you wont be able to use those unitl you get it mot'd with all seats.

nothing wrong with the belts being there and having no seats.

it just means the tester cannot fail the seat belt if there is a fault with it.

as for the springs as said if they dont fall out then there ok

cable tie's will sort that out if they do fall out

It doesn't get noted on the MOT certificate, so you can get away with it, which is odd TBH.

It's only a problem with the seats in but no belts IIRC

mine failed with stripped out rear because i had no rear belts fitted. as daft as it sounds u have to have rear seat belts fitted regardless of having seats or not

my mot is coming up soon but my back seats are fcked so they will be coming out, do i need to remove the seat belts aswell or will it still pass if there in.. also with the shocks, depends on person that does mot, i did mine with 60mm springs and standard shocks which had bust, but still passed he just had a moan that it was close to failing was like k....

well thats wot i failed on. you cant get an mot here in garages, u have to go to a test centre which does nothing other than test your car. one in each town.

your mot certificate only proves your car is fit for use/safe on the day of testing, so you can put the rears back in the next day. Who's gonna know anyway?you're not gonna get pulled for having rear seats

i went through with only the front seats and no seatbelts or seats in the rear!
