okay, I've managed to talk my dad into buying the kit if I do his car

from peoples experience which is best value for money and contains the best stuff?

yeah meguires is really good m8, brings the body to a glass smooth finish and removes tar spots and overspray.

yeah I got the megs gold class polish, but heard claying makes the final result even better. that and someone in my progress thread wanted a before / after of using a clay bar and polishing

just done a afternoons work of claying with the full megs kit. surface is like it says smooth like glass. it hasnt been out of the garage yet to see it in decent light though.

cheers dan, just curious whats this tech wax? Meguiars stuff? apparently lasts longer than the gold class stuff?

Tech Wax, some people rate it and some people hate it.

I'm one that hates it, was a real pain in the arse to buff off, but you can use it to wet wax your car and thats meant to be when it works best.

I'm going to try wet waxing it at some point to use my Tech Wax up
