Hi Guys,

I have been told by people behind me that whenever I put my foot down in my Car, (Corsa Sport 1.6) a fair bit of clear smoke is coming out of my exhaust!?!?!?!

I have had my ECU checked recently & was told that my EGR valve was sticking a bit... (perhaps this is why it's smoking????)

To get a better idea of what I mean goto....

do the fumes smell?

could be burning a tiny bit of oil, just just be pretty damn filthy inside the engine? My mates has about 84k on the clock and after the flushed the engine out and stuff it does it a bit less.

white smoke = steam (head gasket or condensation

blue smoke = burning oil (piston rings or stem seals)

grey/black smoke = running rich

cheers guys, yea the fumes smell of oil so perhaps it burning a fair bit of it?

The guy that I bought the car off barely used it.... it was left doing nothing for weeks...

find out why its running rich? lambda? injectors? iginition? ECU?
