my car whistles when it revs ok so obveiously its not the turbo because its a 1.2 but its getting on my nerves now any ideas on what it is?

Air leak probably
Or alternator belt.

My 12v does this passed 5krpm, which doesn't happen often.
If I recall, this is normal

probably a vacuum leak from the pipe that goes from the upper inlet manifold to the throttle mate.

something with battery? Wen my battery dies and i got to jump start it i go round the block just to charge the battery up again and i always notice a high pitch sound. does disappear after a while though.

could also be todo with your sound system

its an 8v and ive lukd at the cambelt and it doesnt seem over tight and it did it before the sound system wz put in. ill cheak out the vacuum pipe in the morning

at high revs? In my old 1.4 8v, once it hit around 5k revs it would start to whine, as if it was turbo/super charged. It would do it every time though, but it always checked out in services, just assumed it was normal  .
