The things that hold the boot open in my mates megane. I was wondering if any1 nos how to fix this or wud they just need replaced? Thanks very much for any help.

Sory meant to say they are broken and he has to hold the boot open himself.

Yeah the lifters. I no they wudnt be too dear to replace but hes just wondering if he cud fix them himself. Cheers

Yeah cheers dean, but hes worried if he gets them outa a scappy they may be near the end of their lifetime, as we arent too sure whether its because fluid has run out etc.

they are gas compressed. and should not ever lose gas...unless they're broken. It would probably cost more time and money to fix when they can be bought so cheap from a scrap yard.
