Seems everyone's are failing this time round!

Failed on a couple of things;

Need new back tyres, MOT guy says the inside face looks like someones tried to slash them - he'd never seen damage like it as they are clear cut marks but on the inside tyre wall of both back wheels

Offside headlamp mounting missing causing beam to be set too high

Brake hose fitting at drum cylinder corroded

so all in all - could have been worse considering its 14 years old this months, emmisions were fine, no rust issues, steering was fine, brakes were fine (I changed them all last week anyway disks, pads and shoes)

I feared this last week saturday when I took mine in.

Just keep your head up high & get them fixed and out the way hopefully nextime should sail through

Been redone Monday - not too bothered; got the missus Zetec S for the day which is considerably better than my car

sounds like your tyres are getting cut by your suspension. If I was you id buy some spacers as they could explode. My front tyres had that problem except as soon as i got my front two tyres on i only drove 2 minutes before i could smell burning tyre lol. then saw a deep cut round inner tyre .

I have actually Had a Tyre Explode on me due to it rubing on my front springl, Mum Snapped a coil on my suspension so i had to creep the car to the garage with th tyre rubbing on the spring, Smoke was pouring off the tyre cos it was burning and just as i pulled up at a junction next to a traffic warden on a ped it exploded and scared the Warden Into falling off his ped Luckily the garage was only across the road so just pulled it onto the forecourt & Laughed at the Badger picking his ped up

wheels have been on car for 4 years without any issues before
