GF is looking around for her first car, does anyone have an opinion on these?

She is looking to buy a car on something like a 52/03 plate so she can buy something fairly tidy and also cheap to buy and run - as it's only a first car.

Obviously there is the massive range of 1.2 specced cars - but is it worth spending a little more(?) on the CDTi?

Any comments, experiences, pics, vids are appreciated.

id defo go for the diesel over the 1.2, how much more would one be roughly?

According to Parkers, a good condition CDTi would be between 3k and 4k.

Also not sure on the insurance group - either i'm blind - or its not listed on Parkers

My boss just bought one yesterday. Drives brilliantly, 55+mpg, Comes with alot toys TBF.

Edit. his is a 54 plate with 57k on the clock, AC, CD, EW, EM, RCL. 2.3k

I had 1. gud car. never got bored of 600 + milles to a tank of fule torque makes them feel nippy also

they are quite nippy feel alot better than the 1.2 petrol

Plus any 1.3 CDTi will be a facelift C, which look much better

Cool, cheers for the replies.

Nippy is the last thing she wants from a car, but a nice comfy ride, toys, good fuel economy blah blah blah will push her buttons

Better start shopping around then
